Erosion, although a natural process, is unfortunately exacerbated by human land use to the detriment of the environment as well as to the potential harm to human and animal habitats.
Soils comprised of discrete particles, especially when wet or soft, are highly susceptible to erosion. When combined with load applications, the inherent weakness of granular materials leads to significant rutting, soil erosion, and landscape damage. Once installed, EnviroGrid boosts the load-deformation performance of the soil, thus negating the exacerbated human footprint and the ensuing erosion upon the environment.
EnviroGrid is an also effective stabilizer of slope cover materials, both guaranteeing the integrity of the soils while simultaneously allowing for the growth of desired natural aesthetics. The cell walls act as a check against the concentrated flows that normally produce rills and gullies, thereby reinforcing the vegetative cover as well as the soils involved.
The vegetation encouraged by EnviroGrid acts as another source of soil stabilization, with the plant roots contained, protected, and throughout within the grid. Together, the plants and EnviroGrid knit a coordinated, reinforced blanket cover that effectively resists erosion.
